Subject Overview
Conservation lies at the heart of everything we do at Sparsholt, with multiple dedicated areas of the campus supporting our goal to inspire the next generation of conservation specialists. Our semi-natural ancient woodland, sika deer herd, science laboratories, specialist surveying equipment and Game and Wildlife Centre all benefit students by developing their ecology skills and environmental awareness.
Your work could help prevent the extinction of species, restore damaged habitats, and promote sustainable practices that benefit both nature and people. You’ll be part of a global effort to address critical environmental issues, such as climate change, pollution, and habitat loss.
Modern conservationists use satellite imagery to track deforestation, drones to monitor wildlife, and data analytics to predict environmental changes. These tools help create effective strategies for protecting ecosystems and making informed decisions about conservation efforts.
